Really glad to hear it went well. I hope she is resting comfortably considering. I know the staff at the hospital is doing their best to make sure she is.

She was doing well last night. I have some concerns about pain issues once the spinal anesthesia wears off later today. We shall see. She does grumble that she thinks she'd get better care for pain management in a Seattle hospital. Not so sure about that. Our hospital is part of the Providence system and, considering the population of our county, is quite a good facility. The wife of a doctor friend of mine developed bone cancer and was treated in the St. Mary's cancer care center. He had nothing but good things to say about it. She is on her way to recovery. Try saying the same thing in Canada or England.
