However, I keep thinking about how the average Muslim in the Middle East reacts with glee anytime there is some terrorism against the US. I think Americans need to drop the politically correct charade of expressing the idea the Middle East Muslims are peace loving. The facts consistently tell a different story. Therefore, I think it is completely plausible that we should start profiling at airports based on race and religion. Looking at the problem using statistics, it's a no-brainer. How many non-Muslim airplane terrorists have there been in the last couple of decades? None that I can remember. Here's yet another example of the man on the street being proud of terrorism:

The religion is NOT peaceful. Anyone who says that is obviously a MALE because the abuse of women is just atrocious. I'm not just talking about radicalized Muslims.

I was dispelled of any ideas about "peace-loving" Muslims after watching an episode of 60 Minutes a few years ago in which they interviewed a selection of students from a NYC Muslim school. To a person, EVERY ONE OF THEM said either they could commit, or would be supportive of someone ELSE committing, a suicide bombing in a public place in America.

At that point I realized that peaceful Muslims, if they exist, are exceedingly rare. Deep down, they all feel the same way -- that the only good American is a dead one.

I agree with your post. BTW, tejek, on a different topic, you and I talking about Muslims the other day. I was expressing doubts this theory that most Muslims are peace-loving, which sounds horrible. However, I keep thinking about how the average Muslim in the Middle East reacts with glee anytime there is some terrorism against the US. I think Americans need to drop the politically correct charade of expressing the idea the Middle East Muslims are peace loving. The facts consistently tell a different story. First, if anyone tells you that profiling is not happening, they are FOS. Of course there is profiling. Its human nature.

Secondly, the US is in the better or bigger place.....it needs to react better than it has since 9/11 and better than the Muslim in the street. Invading Afghanistan and Iraq was BS......very stupid moves by a very stupid presidency. We need to change that thinking.....use our brains, not our braun.

Thirdly, kneed jerking every time a Muslim burns a flag will insure we remain in a blood feud with the Muslim world for decades. That's what the military/industrial complex wants. Why give it to them?

We are Americans. The wealthiest and most advanced nation in the world. Why do we continue to behave as if we are third world?

What percentage of Americans typically support our wars?
