Hey, don't disrespect the Gipper. He had his flaws, but he is my favorite President of all time, followed very closely by Bush Sr. Those were different times. Had the Gipper governed today, his governing style and ideology may not have worked, but his Presidency produced great results back then, when we could afford his fiscal profligacy.

Today's times call for a different kind of President. We need someone with the political skill of Reagan and Obama combined with someone who believes in foreign policy strength, but with a desire to prioritize nation building in the homeland while maintaining fiscal restraint. That's one hell of a tall order. I think any of our former great Presidents would have struggled at this point in US history.
