Protestant Christianity is intensely schizmatic. Even within one denomination, there are several large Baptist conventions, as there are in the Lutheran church. Fred Phelps' Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka pickets military funerals. Some Southern Baptists boycott Disney products. Two-seed-in-the-spirit Baptists believe that a person is pre-determined to be good or evil. Many other Baptist churches are embarrassed by these groups. In Islam, Wahhabis have caused problems. Like some exclusionary Christians, their original intent was to purify Islam by declaring some Muslims to be infidels, and destroying them.
