Mylar,
If any company deserves success because of their leadership, MNKD would rank right at the top, as Al Mann, the founder of this company did the ultimate......he put HIS money at stake in creating this company. But in the reality of the real world and especially biotech/drug companies I don't think the end story for MNKD will be good for investors. There is no doubt that a 'better' delivery system for insulin is desired, but the route that MNKD has taken is a route well traveled. Should (and I doubt it will happen next week...more delays IMO)the FDA approve AFRESA there is the issue of marketing the system, and Pfizer the largest drug company in the world couldn't pull off this feat with their similar candidate. Mr. Mann hasn't been unsuccessful in getting a partner for AFRESA........why? IMO, for the same reason PFE couldn't sell their like kind drug......side effect issue on the lungs. Our lungs are unique.......just as the first time a person smokes a cigarette..their lungs tell them NO.

Bottomline........even if the FDA approves the MNKD candidate......they still have to sell the product for revenue...and with the current MC of nearly $1B......a major hill to climb.(IMO)

This from someone who is dead last in the contest......but then I attempted to go short with my original picks. Good luck...will be a good pick for a contest like this one....IF the magi is bringing gifts next week from the FDA.
