You know or should that the US military investigated Abu Ghraib, punished the guilty BEFORE the liberals in Congress released them to the worlds media in hopes of hurting Bush.

Wrong! Abu Ghraib had been under investigation for most of 2003 but there had been no punishment meted out. The photos and the story were brought to the public's awareness through 60 Minutes and Seymore Hersh in an article.

What upsets you more.....that the story reached the light of day or that our soldiers committed such acts? It sure sounds lke the former.

Oh yes, I'm proud of making damn sure the ugliness of what Bush did is exposed so that the next guy in power is afraid to do that shit again. Every true American patriot should feel duty bound to expose corruption and venality whenever they see it. That is the true expression of patriotism...the willingness to see the flaws in America and correct them as we seek to make this country better.

The mark of a declining Democracy is one that doesn't every want to admit it has flaws and in failing to identify the flaws, also fails to correct them.

That is the single biggest fault that Bush had and apparently he's made it endemic to the GOP now, this reluctance to ever admit fault or correct flaws. It's plain stupidity.

But I see it in all of your posts. Someone proves you guys wrong on a minor point and you'll go down to hell fighting against that proof, instead of graciously admitting that you made a mistake, because Lord knows in your world admitting being incorrect is tantamount to embracing the devil.
