Of COURSE it is! It's a classic case of conflicting realities.

Steele thought he was being elected head of the (R) party because of his qualifications, that it needed a new perspective the old white guys couldn't give it!

The people that elected him expected him to do as he was told, go along with everything they wanted, never say anything without clearing it first, and appear in a lot of photos with other (R)'s in a period when the (D)'s have a black president.

I hope he becomes disillusioned enough to turn..
