That's my take on it too. I have family in Dallas and I still visit quite often. Some were hopeful with Obama, but they are all down on him now. None of them voted for him, though. Republican to the core and fairly closed minded. Most of them aren't very well traveled either. I've noticed that the more well traveled people are, the more open minded they become. No statistics to prove that one, just an anecdotal observation.
