Murder, torture, rape, degradation. It's all par for the course in your world where the ends justify the means. This obviously isn't true. But wartime involves special circumstances. It isn't that I have "no problem" with atrocities, as I do. MAKE NO MISTAKE. The Iraq War has been the MOST HUMANE in history. In war, shit happens. Very decent people are affected by it in strange ways. I spend a great deal of time studying past wars and there is no doubt that every major conflict has had its share of atrocities. But never has a major conflict involved so few as the Iraq War. Further, with a few exceptions, the atrocities that HAVE been committed were so minor they would have been totally overlooked in any earlier war. The few TRUE atrocities -- murders, etc., have been prosecuted with zeal by our military. I'm not sure how a nation defends itself if embarrassing prisoners is considered a war atrocity that will being the war effort to its knees. So go ahead and tell us how you guys are Evangelical Christians and that you are doing God's work. I'm not sure who you're talking about. I've never suggested anything of this sort at all.
