There is no such thing as a humane war

He didn't say it was humane he said it was the most humane. More human that all the others, doesn't necessarily imply "very humane", when the category your talking about is war.

That's pretty silly. By any number of measurements one war can be not as bad as (in other words be better than) other wars. (But "better" doesn't imply "good")
