I know -- you and I argued this about 8-10 years ago and disagreed then, too ;) I would also say that I've encountered relatively few people who see it as I do -- but I remain committed to my belief that it was similar in many respects to the use of a date-rape drug (as distinguished from the kind of violent act that we commonly associate with rape, which I do believe is a different thing. I do not consider date/rape situations to be as violent as just someone being grabbed off the street and assaulted).
