Dude. You're dreaming.

They have so pissed off the American people that unless something really strange happens they will have their heads handed to them. Particularly if they pass this god-awful health care legislation.

The best thing that could happen to Ds is to cave on the legislation.

I think the people aren't happy. Not because of Dave's concerns, but, because of the economy. If the economy still sucks on election day, incumbents will be voted OUT. Since there are considerably MORE (D) incumbents, it would be worse for them.

On the other hand, if the economy has improved, Americans can be SURE the (R)'s didn't have a damn thing to do with it, voting NO on everything and obstructing, and the (D)'s will be fine, with the (R)'s held in even lower regard than now.
