Not to disagree, but "Picks of the Quarter" is a misnomer. The thread title is "Picks of the Quarter". Pick your positions, whether stocks or cash, short or long, at the beginning of the quarter, and see where you end up at the end of the quarter. No trades at all. The only time the contest ran for 3 months was the first time, unless I missed something in the header results. But I'll go along with that. Next time make it a real three month contest, make it a Buy and Hold. (I have an issue with the ability of picking a Short for three months. It's one thing to be able to Short a Blue Chip and quite another to short a highly volatile stock for three months in real trading. But whatever works for everyone else is fine with me.)

I agree With steve harris: Just my 2c. The thread title is "Picks of the Quarter". Someone else can start another game called "trades to keep Elroy busy" if they want to be traders. Once a month is enough... allows you to get out of a short or book a profit and establish new positions at the same time or wait a month.
