"Not a capital offense, but really -- how does one not know this while claiming credibility on the subject?"

This is so basic that it destroys his credibility as far as I'm concerned.......again.

"His voting record in IL was extreme,"

Not really. Because he isn't an ideologue, you can cherry pick the votes to "prove" almost any orientation.

"but it was also knee-deep in "present" votes to avoid committing himself politically."

It depends on what you mean by this. The ability to vote 'present' is just a way to get political cover. It is equivalent to a 'no' in function.

" There is simply no way to argue the guy isn't an extremist liberal. The argument is just ridiculous on its face."

Sure there is. But people like you have put a lot of effort into claiming that reality is different than it really is. That is what is ridiculous...

He was the ONLY "No" vote in IL for a provision to NOT offer "good time" for sex offenders in county jail. The ONLY "NO" in an extremely liberal state.

He voted against secret ballots for unions and to allow GRADUATE ASSISTANTS (no shit) to UNIONIZE.

He voted AGAINST blocking sexual content on computers in schools for minors; he voted to allow the purchase of 10 hypodermic needles from a pharmacy without a prescription.

Really, to suggest the guy isn't and extreme liberal is just the height of ignorance.

But forget the voting record: Look what he has done since he took office. There is simply no way to argue the guy isn't an extremist liberal. The argument is just ridiculous on its face.

None of the above is extreme liberalism. The problem is you are extreme winger, just left of tea baggers.
