I don't rely on them. Like you, I use PEG principally, though I know they're a good measure for relative valuation among companies with like prospects in the same industry, but you have to jump through hoops subtracting-out balance-sheet data like cash. I own Siebel, Rambus and Yahoo based on strong competitive position, revenue outlook, management, and what I imagine are terrific margin prospects. P/S is a snapshot number that doesn't say much about the future.
