Yes, in the case of GMO... I was speaking in general terms of food additives. It (the idea) carries over to GMO of course.

1.) "Evil" is not the term I would use... it's a term some religionists use for things I consider much less 'wrong' than some GMO crops.

2.) "fruit" is in interesting word... I guess it fits if the actual outcome is indeed long term benefits.

3.) If on the other hand changing crops to be sterile (so no one can use their own seeds next year), to be inedible or toxic in the name of shelf life and yield... then I wouldn't use the term "fruit".

4.) "Genetic study" has yielded profound chanages in the understanding of the way life works... WAY beyond GMO crops.
