>> What, are you going to make people declare their religion when they come to the U.S.?

You know what countries they've been to and good security people would know instantly what questions to ask. "What were you doing in Yemen? Why do you want to go to the U.S.? Why were you in Afghanistan a year ago? What were you doing in Europe? Why are you going to Detroit? Why did you not check any baggage? Why did you pay with cash? Where is your coat? Where do your relatives live?"

You don't need scanners, you don't need bomb-sniffers, and frankly, if the screener wants to know what religion they are, he should say, "What is your religion?" and see what kind of response he gets.

The way we are handling this today AND UNDER GWB is absolutely insane. The first thing we should have done after 9/11 is to go to Israel and say, "Show us how YOU do it".

I don't car about the correlation between nation building and attacks. I'm just against nation building abroad, because we need to nation build here in the US and that should take priority over any nation building abroad.
