Yeah, I saw that also. I don't know how the call should have been made, but on PFT they are saying it would have given the ball back to Green Bay +15 yards and a first down. I don't know about that. It happened post possession or post fumble or whatever, so ARIZ had control of the ball at the time of the penalty.

So...what happens then? On the score, the game is technically over, however, the game cannot end on a Defensive penalty. If that is the rule, then what?

Or...were the Cards technically on offense at that point as they had control of the ball?

Interesting questions. I would like to see an official explanation of the rules had the face mask been called.

Overall the refs were bad, but that went both ways and no one can say the Packers were jobbed after giving up 51 points.

Fun game. Unfortunate outcome.

RE:"ESPN showed a slow motion replay of the final play. A facemask penalty should have been called against AZ. I'm not sure if that would have nullified the play or been considered post possession."

I saw that. The Refs missed it. Just like the helmet to helmet contact to Rogers on the previous play. The Packers were jobbed. Plus, if Rogers hadn't kicked the ball it would have been an incompletion via the tuck rule.

One of the best games Warner has ever played.
