By 2012 we will need to run a person with a solid conservative record that does not carry the baggage of Sarah. As much as I may want morality to be a major platform for the Republican party the ultimate threat to all of us is financial ruin.

We are never going to legislate morality in this country.

We can legislate fiscal sanity that allows us to move forward as a nation and work on sanity of moral legislation.

Judd Gregg comes to my mind as a person with the fiscal sanity I am looking for. Romney simply seems too slick for me.

If a Ross Perot type emerges a third party could win. By 2012 fiscal sanity will be the issue of the day.
