So, you travel a lot. When you go through an airport in Israel, do you have the sense that you're more or less secure than when passing through other airports? Serious question.

Let me put it this way, as soon as you enter the Ben Gurion airport you get a firm sense of sincerity. It feels obvious, that this is not some kind of game but sincere and serious stuff with no pardon for those who step out of line.

As for the questioning, to me it seems kind of naive sometimes and I get the distinct feeling that I could outsmart those guys and dodge their questions...but no doubt that is part of their game.
They ask just normal stuff and then again, they suddenly ask the same questions in a slightly different way and so forth.

Maybe it feels easy for me since I have a real story to tell.
If you get there with a bogus story, I believe you better arrive there well excercised.

In US airports I always get the feeling that the security is 10% real with 90% being but some game for showing off.

In Tel Aviv it really is the other way around.
