Yes, let's talk about South Korea, because that is a great case in point. Why do we continue to leave 30K US troops there when both NK and SK have 1 million man armies each? Why can't we support from the air and from aircraft carriers? Exactly what difference will 30K US kids make if a war were to break out? I say bring them home.

It's been said before that to deploy 1 US soldier overseas along with all the overhead of gear, equipment, etc, it costs us $1M per year. So we are spending $30B per year on SK security. Why can't they afford to pay for their own security? SK is rich! This is an example of the ridiculous waste of money that the US engages in with our military.
