in '87 i was just packing to come back to crazy land. the daze of ollie north america and iran contra were just ending, and i wuz gonna land ashore from a period of ex patriot wandering, w/o a clue all hell had broken loose while i was away. could have gone anywhere, and i'm thinking, whoa, texas is ready for me now. unload the fucking crates at the port of new york, reload all the shit again, drive 26 hours to austin, and voila!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! didn't you know everything sucks? real estate, you name it? talk about not knowing we ever had a crash, i show up while they are taking the bodies away and cleaning up the fucking debris. fuck man, talk about pushing the awake button, one day too late. i'd still be in Berlin right now and totally unified too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but here i is, so fucking pissed off, they might make me an honorary Aggie!
