"we have no possible way to hold cash"

Exactly. That's why stocks are going higher - the Fed
is devaluing cash in a major way. In a fiat world "Cash" is
also an asset and a unit of debt. It is trading on forex as
such.

The devaluation by any government is always subtle and
is accompanied by maximum frustration and confusion, except
in cases when it is done explicitly in fixed currency regimes,
such as one in Venezuela. We got a major currency crash there
and a stock market crash.
