I thought that way when I was a teen-ager, then I grew up and realized that life is full of uncertainty and complexity ...and sometimes it's crystal clear - murders are often caught on video now days - do you suggest video lies? debate is moot as long as we're convicting people on eyewitness reports and other shady evidence Debate is never moot. So everything you see for yourself is suspect? Eyewitness reports have always been one of the strongest forms of evidence, especially when multiple witnesses are involved. You can make a case for the death penalty as a deterrent It will definitely deter the one executed.
