You're talking to a guy who thinks the world's energy needs can be satisfied with solar and wind power.

A square meter of sunlight has one kilowatt of energy. At the equator. At high noon.

Anyone with a background in science or engineering can understand the implications behind that fact. Mindmeld does not.

For part of the solution sure - but solar is only good in some parts of the country and not 24x7 and we have learned from England that windmills freeze up in harsh conditions and can't operate.

I would love to see 100+ new nuclear plants to enable us to retire coal and some dams and even breach a few dams to fix salmon populations.
