I agree, but I don't think Mindmeld's attitude toward other countries "paying their fair share" is appropriate.

Military service in Korea is mandatory. The peninsula remains divided by powers set up by outside forces. Sure, Korea is now one of the top ten economies in the world, but they sure didn't get there by "freeloading." Instead, they made the best use of American assistance that any nation could aspire toward.

Maybe a recognition of that would be appropriate before assessing how to move forward. Context is key.
