Absolutely. I've said it before and I'll say it again. We are our own worst enemies. That is why a good Presidential Administration would clear out all those hurdles, not only to development of solar and wind farms, but of nuclear power, natural gas, and yes drilling for oil everywhere, offshore and ANWR. I'm for all of the above, as long as they clean up the mess.

When it comes to energy security, we have the resources. We just need to tap them unfettered by all the idiots out there.

The only real differences between you, Brumar, and me on this subject is that 1) I don't believe oil alone can solve our problems. I think we need a serious investment in renewable energy, including nuclear power to really be independent. And 2) I also believe that we should be good stewards of this planet, which means cleaning up the pollutants that result from energy production, or moving to cleaner sources of energy.
