"When is CA going to go broke. They were supposed to go under last year. Now what?"

Can't answer that.

Don't know.

All I know is that their sovereign debt was just downgraded today by one of the big bond rating firms (to "A minus" if memory serves....)

What I expect though is that --- if something literally CANNOT CONTINUE AS IT IS WITHOUT CHANGE --- (as, I believe is the state of California and it's politics today), then it *won't*.

I fully expect to see BIG POLITICAL CHANGES in CA over the next two years, based upon the results from the elections this Fall and the referrenda.

(NOTE: I believe that there are plenty of other States that are in just as big, if not even *bigger*, financial trouble now then CA is. At least, when measured per capita.)
