There have certainly been enough accusations that such was indeed the case. But even if he did have a "competent" belief in deism (an impersonal universal intelligence) it still means nothing to me. However, it means more than nothing to Richard Dawkins. Dawkins (being the most renowned expert on the planet as to evolution and the origins and development of life), finds Flew's "purported" views to be without any intellectual merit. youtube.com
