No - he will spend a fortune - immediately. Team Obama loves to spend money.

I see some irony that he pledged $100 million to help Haiti, while giving billions to ACORN, the unions, car companies, etc. I also see some irony that his "response" is hindered by conditions on the ground just like New Orleans. Maybe Obama hates dark-skinned black people in the same manner Bush hated the people of New Orleans...

The WH and Obama have been on the airwaves since the 12th...He doesn't want to be tarred with the same media brush that GWB got...and yet, when we compare old timelines (I did...go to Drudge archives, and check out the Environment old articles ...there had been warnings of the Hurricane for a week, and it actually hit FL and MS first, then LA...late Aug 29 hit NO...two days later, the LA Gov decided to wait for 24 hours to let the Fed help into LA...the Fed help was already massing at the LA borders...

Today is the 16th, the 5th day post-earthquake. We got some troops in on the 14th, the USS Carl Vinson got there yesterday with helicopters, some supplies that they could fly out to the rigion, but LOTS of supplies being massed by NGO's that haven't given the military direction to take them as yet....)
