The thing your small mind fails to grasp is that supporting energy independence and climate responsibility is not mutually exclusive. We can move this country to non-polluting, renewable energy and make enormous amounts of new wealth doing it. You vision is myopic. It's a damn good thing you never tried your hand in Silicon Valley. You would never have made it.

The great thing about this particular debate is that we will have an answer to who is right in our lifetimes. We're already marching through the tipping point for renewable energy. Within the next 5 years, almost every major car company will have a hybrid, plug-in, and/or electric car on the road. Solar-thermal and wind power plants have already reached coal-fired plant cost parity. Large utilities like Duke Energy are already making the switch from coal to natural gas. New nuclear designs are making nuclear power cheaper and safer than ever before.

Oil and coal are the energy of the past. They won't fade away over night, but the future and the big wealth making opportunities for investors belong to renewable energy.
