> Haiti earthquake: thousands of bodies are dumped in stench-filled mass graves

These people are dead. Why are we not getting water to these people?

You remember, during Katrina, how you were blasting Bush? How f*cking complicated is it to import water on C-130s then helicopter it to where it is needed?

These people are dying. During Katrina, there was at least a reason (the Governor wouldn't allow American forces into the area). There is no excuse for the failed response in Haiti.

The USNS Comfort is still sitting in its port.

If you've been watching, food and water is getting out to the people but very slowly. The place is in chaos. Seasoned reporters like Cooper and Gupta have never seen conditions like this before.....its as if hell found a place on earth to set up shop. The US military is not there yet and people are understandably afraid. There has been rioting and looting and general lawlessness. There is no Haiti gov't....its pretty much gone. Many of the UN peacekeepers were killed in the quake and are not available to secure the city.

And the worst part.....there are now reports coming in from other parts of the country....from the city of Jacmel and smaller towns.....that their devastation is almost as bad as Port-au-Prince. Its going to be a long time before Haiti is normal again. Mass graves will be the least of their problems.
