Son of ClimateGate: Are The Feds Involved?

It appears that the Federal Government (surprise surprise) is up to it's armpits in another climate data scandal. From John Coleman at TV station KUSI in San Diego:

PRIMARY UNITED STATES CLIMATE CENTERS NOW CAUGHT IN DATA MANIPULATION
NEW REVELATIONS HEADLINED ON TV CLIMATE SPECIAL
It has been revealed that a "sleight of hand" was used in the computer program that rated 2005 as "THE WARMEST YEAR ON RECORD." Skeptical climate researchers have discovered extensive manipulation of the data within the U.S. Government's two primary climate centers: the National Climate Data Center (NCDC) in Asheville, North Carolina and the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) at Columbia University in New York City. These centers are being accused of creating a strong bias toward warmer temperatures through a system that dramatically trimmed the number and cherry-picked the locations of weather observation stations they use to produce the data set on which temperature record reports are based. The two investigators say the system has been distorted in other ways as well. They have documented their findings in great detail in a scientific report that has been posted online. These findings are presented as a part of my television special report "Global Warming: The Other Side" telecast Thursday night, January 14th at 9 PM here on KUSI TV.
The data manipulation studies are explored in detail during the fourth segment of the one hour video now available here on our website. Just click on the Global Warming special banner to go to the page.
Coleman's TV segments are available here.

This is highly reminiscent of the report that CRU scientists in the UK had manipulated temperature data from Russia to fit their global-warming-is-real ends. While this is supremely unsurprising, it is also utterly infuriating, especially when the federal government continues to pump our tax dollars into this outlandish hoax.

"That would be a good solution but there is no wood"

There isn't any wood in a typical hexayurt. They can be built of plywood, but foil faced building panels have a lot of advantages.

Plywood is a wood product. My point was that importing plywood would run up costs and add time to construction. To be cost effective, I would think they would have to be part of the final housing solution for Haiti.....not an interim or temporary measure.

Yes, the stuff would have to be imported. But that was pretty much the case before the earthquake. The deforestation could be alleviated long term by putting a wood gasification stove into everyone's hands. They are a lot more efficient, not to mention being able to use low grade fuels. So there would be less pressure to chop down trees.

Yes, good idea. Fuel is a real problem.

The island has so many mts. I don't understand why there is no coal or peat bogs. Is it because the island was underwater at one time?
