RtS, Good point - we are not in serious trouble yet as you illustrate in your charts. Also, however, the individual semi stock's performances have been split recently as shown by the tabular data posted this weekend.

Some of the stocks are, and have been, doing well while others have been stagnating at best. As pointed out, growth consensus outlook for several stocks were cut back severely. The biggest cutbacks were for semi-equip stocks. I remember reading in one of the articles lately that the ratio of cap spending by the chip makers compared to chip sales continues to fall and is expected to fall even further in the future. I think that scenario had a lot to do with the large cutbacks in growth figures for LRCX and KLAC this week.

The next couple of weeks will be very interesting to watch.

Don

Hi RtS,

Good advice - especially as we approach a historically significant resistance level.
