On the renewable energy front, there are plenty of efforts underway, but they are under-represented in the US. Did you know that most major battery manufactures have geared up at scale to delivery automotive scale EV batteries? The US is a laggard in this space. So when I say the it will happen and that progress is inevitable in this space, I'm not just guessing. With the kind of money that is getting spent on it, the breakthroughs are almost a foregone conclusion. The only question is whether it will be invented in the US or not. I'm betting NOT, which is a damn shame.

The countries that are the inventors will reap the largest benefits. We were that country in the past, but with the GOP still a major power and oil and coal pulling out all the stops to stifle renewable energy in this country, we very well may continue to be laggards in renewable energy for the next couple of decades, which will guarantee that we don't participate in the wealth generation that will come with it. It's stupidity on the largest scale. Thanks for nothing, GOP.
