a schilling is some kind of coin. who cares about a guy who threw a bitty lil ball for a living, a living so large most people can't afford to see him do but on tv. CFO attacked the woman in MA for not knowing a ballplayer. american politics get down right silly at times. yes, it does matter if Palin, or the woman in MA, knows facts around 9/11, that is worthy of ... as you put it, attack... though it is actually consideration of whether they should be making decisions on a govermental level, it is not an 'attack'.
