Nice try by Mr. O'Donnell. Obviously, what the leadership doesn't want happening is the bill passing. The more "reasonable" a crazy bill like this gets with amendments, at least in the mind of the amendor, the more likely it is to pass. McConnell didn't want the Olympia Snowes of the RINOs to be tempted, just in case some of the "Blue Dogs" came to their senses, and ruin the effort. Whacky Larry. I've seen his rants on TV.
