I thought he hired Rham to fight the right wing not the left wing! That was the mistake. Rahm is pretty much on the right. and not like a reasonable repub of the old days... ya know, when it was fiscal conservative and stay out of the bedroom. why you think Pelosi had no love lost for him??? and I'm not going to say that some people in the middle have no right to concerns about Pelosi (tho I am fond of her), but to balance need a fiscal conservative - not a spend-nothing-never type, but a reasonable type. I agree he has let the young people down, but you speak of the 'left', well there is a lot of different people over there, and a lot of people who might not be 'left' but matter... like people of color who aren't all 'left', but if you, the older white males, and if the younger whites, stay home in '10, it won't really hurt them. it ain't really nothing to them. or is it? maybe not since O is still over all in charge. it surely made a difference with W got in there. so think of that. think of staying home and what it could mean. push and persuade and get in his face, but letting the repubs of this day and age back in is a deadly proposition, and I mean the word deadly. it is no time to get in a snit and show someone up by staying home. there are other ways of making a difference. if those young people had ideals in mind, then push for them. or become the next '80's crowd and just do some drugs and make a lot of money. or toss a coin.
