"I am thankful the recent additions to natural gas reserves should mitigate some of the decline in crude oil. IMO natural gas will bridge us to a lower standard of living not a market replacement solution."

Ultimately I believe electrification will be the answer - but it may very well be something we do not expect. Perhaps the key to "cold" fusion - or some other form of fusion will be developed. This would make energy abundant and hopefully cheap.

I do not know what it will be - but I believe it will be something. Whale oil - no problem. Guano (sp?) - no problem. As an engineer I have a lot of faith in technology. Heck, I remember 10 years ago when only imported LNG would solve the decline in natural gas availability. LOL - technology fixed that one. It has ever been so.

Doom and gloom is a tool for expanding government power. It has ever been so. Be optimistic.
