ElM, in civilized places, there's no need for a bunch of rules and a dictator even if elected. Virtuous Victorian Values and civil discourse take care of things.

In places like Brazil, Venezuela and Zimbabwe they have the big man backed by thugs who eliminated anyone they want to.

In polite society, we communicate in a civil way, sip tea and keep our little fingers pointed out.

In New Zealand, our future King William is visiting. Prime Minister John Key and he are having a get together. There was a photo of them together cooking a barbeque with John swigging in genteel fashion from a bottle of beer [standards are slipping - it should have been a glass].

The Cabinet is to consider a minimum wage increase from about $12 an hour. There are 100,000 people getting the minimum wage. By raising it, unemployment will be increased. All sorts of things are available from China for less than $15 and those on such pay would NOT be able to make those things in an hour. There should be no minimum pay. If somebody is only worth $10 an hour, then the potential employer can't hire them at $15 [the suggested new rate].

Making it illegal to work is a really dopey idea.
