These wacko's typically feel completely inadequate in todays scientific world (surprise!) which continues to unearth the truth. They therefore try and "talk the (scientific) talk" and make fools of themselves in the process.

Scientific evidence for God.... yea right. Every scientist (Oh, and even Pope Benedict!) seems to have missed that evidence... but not PopeGreg.

"We don't know anything about where the universe fits into any before/after, changed/unchanged paradigms."

We can and do make logical deductions based on the evidence that we do know, and Newton's laws of motion are something that we can apply to the expanding universe.

"Intelligent people do not pretend that this world view is "Truth"--or even that "Truth" is ultimately a valid concept."

And yet you, a self proclaimed super duper genius with a uniform and everything find it in your power to make the Atheistic "TRUTH" claim that "THERE IS NO GOD". Go figure.

<<<There is evidence for the Big Bang and it is a reasonable to deduce from that evidence that the universe has a cause that is outside of itself>>>

"The question under consideration is whether or not there is "one iota of evidence" for the existence of god."

True.

"Neither ignorance of the cause of something (why is the sky blue, who hung the lamps in the sky as the primitive savage would say) nor the question of cause or no-cause, points in any evidential way to any "god"."

False. The reason that police work is possible is the same reason that it is possible to logically deduce the existence of a god. It's elementary old chap.

<<<The cause of the universe is either Personal or it is impersonal. Can you think of any other possibilities, there Mr Skywalker?>>>

<<<Did a super duper genius like you, really miss the question>>>

"No. I answered the question fully. The part about "Can you think of any other possibilities, there Mr Skywalker?" did not address me..."

Well that was the only question in there. I was merely making light of your Yoda impersonation which should have been obvious even for a super duper genius, but perhaps you were just drinking, I don't know

"That would be "You are", or "You're"."

We all have our little idiosyncrasies. You like to go to Vegas and whore around: and I sometimes misspell words.

Intelligent people do not pretend that this world view is "Truth"

Plausible explanations based on sound theory and research are acceptable for most intelligent people and every theory is under written by some assumptions/beliefs. We maintain the option to consider the questions prompted by ‘What if?’ to be reasonable extensions of what is accepted and what may be revealed going forward.

--or even that "Truth" is ultimately a valid concept.

Truth is a valid concept. Unfortunately people who use the word often violate logic, semantics, and contingencies upon where and how it applies. “Truth” has gotten a bum rap because of it.
