seminole, if you want ot be adventurous, try going with 5s negatives and 1s positives for two weeks. it *really* makes a difference. one set for me is 60 seconds of constant movement. lighten up the weights, though - the muscles exhaust a lot faster using 6s reps.

i use both slower and faster rep exercises to make sure i get a variety of muscle stresses.

very few people go with the 6s round trip reps b/c it is hard to do and the weight needs to be dropped below the "macho factor". if you want a burn, though, the last three reps of the exercise will light your muscles on fire at the right weight.
