There is change here in that the Dems are not going to delay seating the new Senator and working with the Republicans. The labor unions who negotiated a sweet deal in private will no longer get that deal and instead the insurance companies who also negotiated a sweet deal for themselves with the Repubs may not get their deal either if Obama manages to get a watered down version of the bill passed where things like pre-existing conditions are no longer denied coverage. nytimes.com
