I am a Howard Dean democrat. He says Ok, we are better off with 59 and I agree. He says, first thing we do is lower medicade to 55 and ram it through the senate with reconciliation. We can do that quickly. And people will love it. The middle aged will love it and their kids will love it. That is smart politics. And it is easy to understand. Dean says we need to get tough. I agree. The liberal dems are in the majority. We rule and as long as the blue dogs mind their manners we treat them fairly. If they want to pull the Lieberman shit then we strip them of everything and send them to the corner. And then pass bill after bill through reconciliation. Get some stuff done. The very fact we let the Republican's out muscle us time after time tells the american peopel we are weak. We are not weak. But you would not know it by Obama's behavior the last year. It tells the people, well maybe the dems (bleeding heart liberals) will let Russia or China out muscle us too. Why we dems are always looked at as too "kind" to govern. Not tough enough. Why Nixon beat MacGovern!! Why Bush beat Kerry and Gore. Bush would have had the health bill rammed through in weeks if he had wanted too. Bush rammed through two tax cuts for the rich with reconciliation. Diplomatic, but tough. Walk softly and carry a big stick. Obama left his stick at home. I hope Lieberman is the first to get smacked. Strip him now of everything for his treasonous behavior. 58/59 what does it matter?
