The people of Massachusetts have done something intelligent by wresting absolute control of the Senate from the Demorats. For the first time in many years I am feeling a tinge of respect for my fellow citizens. It's a very strange feeling.

Turns out Massachusetts already has a healthcare plan and sure didn't want to pay for the rest of the country to have one on top of that.

Washington Dems pretty much torpedoed Coakley with all the back room sweet deals they were pulling. Voters called BS.

substituting one oligarch wh*re for another is a start, but the system is still corrupt and we would do well not to forget this fact.

having said that, i'm proud of the MA democrats who did what the republicans didn't have the courage to do - send a big "screw you" to their party's fraudulent presidential imposter.

good on ya MA democrats and independents!

A glimmer of hope and change that I can believe in

It is refreshing to see the affect on stocks.

<A glimmer> It marks the rise of the independent and the fall of the Dems and the Republicans. The US is politically dysfunctional -- its two party system is sick. Its ideological 'big-money, big-military, crap-throwing, dumb-ass, pay-me-off-and-I'll-line-your-pockets, 'pro-anti-gays-guns-government-abortion' circus has helped to bring the most vibrant economy and scoiety the world has ever seen to its knees with mindless bickering, mean-spritied drivel and corruption.

If there is good news in this election it is this: A significant number of voters have said 'enough of this BS' -- we are not so stupid as to sit here and take it any more. This is not a win for one party and a loss for the other. It is a win for those who are sick to death with bad government and bad politics -- sick of the US shooting itself in the foot, shooting itself in the hand, shooting itself in the groin, shooting itself in the leg and then asking 'hey, who did that'. Obama was voted in on a message of change -- and far from change what we have had is a textbook example of a weak leader toeing the line for the dysfunctional status quo of which we have gown so terribly sick and tired.

" A glimmer of hope and change that I can believe in "

Sorry to pour cold water on your hope and change.

There is nothing much left to hope by the time the "process"
is done.

Religion is the NEXT IN THING.

The only HOPE and FANTASY, uncontestable.

AWESOME.
