Yes but Mq.. The problem is that democracies in Canada and the US were founded by folks starting with Virtuous Victorian Values .. And like the originating state of those same values.. people tended to relinquish more and more of their freedom to the state for security.. which is really controlled by those of means anyway.. so the experiments were doomed to fail at their stated goals.. but are working out great for a few :O) There must be something in our DNA which dooms us ...
