Bug, you shoulda stopped at no socialist government will work - period. Twenty years ago the sane thinkers even on the left recognized validity of arguments about interferences with markets screwing rational economic calculations. Now it's like the 20th century never happened, it's lessons forgotten. And even good and intelligent people succumb to blather.

no socialist government will work as long as people are morally depraved (failing to care about others equal to oneself). Yes a fascinating topic.. the importance of the public good.. which itself can be perverted.. You are right IMO.. Look @ communism.. it just deprived folks even more and concentrated what was left in the hands of even fewer than democratic systems.. Churhill was right.. problem is folks failed to see just how corrupt even democracy could be made.. Are we doomed by our genes ?
