oh, a boat store. I was going to ask Moose about hardware and/or automotive stores. those can be great fun to walk around and eye things. and find something ya just can't do without.

A couple of years ago my dad bought my mother shoes - one was shoes, the others boots... which I thought was odd, but she was very excited and explained that over the years (though it had been a long time) he bought shoes for her and has most excellent taste. and spends a lot more on them she will on herself when she is shopping for them.

I find it amusing. she is among those women who does not care for shopping. but it's not that she doesn't care about her outfit. when they were at the toppy-top in a big company and went to things with other toppys, she spent some big amts on clothes for the attending. but she always felt bad about the cost (she is a depression child of a single mother). but her eyes would light up a bit when she wore them.

I have to give my father extra points for not only knowing a really good pair of shoes can make a woman happy, but having the taste to pick out a pair she likes.
