Hawk, the only reason the Palestinians cannot recognize Israel is because Israel has not defined its borders

Apparently that's not the case since the Oslo Accords had the PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY (not the respective political factions) recognized Israel's right to exist.

But that is rendered moot when the political parties in question do not acknowledge that recognition.

These are all just a bunch of excuses for not being willing to compromise and create a Palestinian State that is peaceful and doesn't threaten the security of Israel or any other country (as Arafat did when he attempted to seize control over the Jordanian government).

But the first problem the Palestinians Arabs have is controlling their own militant factions who want NO PEACE with Israel. Until moderates manage to gain control in their territories, there's really no credible negotiating partner.

Let's just face some facts here. There will be no Palestinian state without a UN peace-keeping force (they has teeth) installed within both Gaza and the West Bank to facilitate a "cooling off" period that keeps the two parties separated.

And I doubt many nations will be willing to support such a mission.

So the only thing left is probably to let them "duke it out" until a winner emerges. It's the way it's worked for thousands of years.
