Romney's religion makes it almost impossible for him to be elected president. And Palin's brand is damaged. She's history

I disagree with both these statements. Romney's real problem is that he couldn't connect well with national voters. Next cycle, executive experience may look better than it did last cycle. His religion is a problem but not an insoluble one. Massachusetts is scarcely a hotbed of Mormonism.

Palin's brand is being rebuilt...by Sarah. So far, she has shown the ability to shift the entire national debate on healthcare by posting comments on Facebook. That shows a most impressive clout that is not confined to just her fan base.

Meantime, along with buyer's remorse over Obama (Scott Brown showed it is widespread - he got over 75% of the independent vote IN MASSACHUSETTS) comes the realization that MSM's opinions are not to be relied on. Who led the chorus of Obama's praises as a healing, post-partisan figure of genius and magnificent temperament? It was the MSM, even more than the campaign itself. Independents now understand that they were sold a bill of goods. Every iteration of this realization wears away MSM credibility. I think you see hard evidence of this just by comparing Fox's ratings to CNN's and MSNBC's.

It will be difficult for the two of them to make a run at a national position because of the olbermanns, the mathews, the larry kings, the krugmans and are other no nothings in the media.

However, I think it can be done if they are determined to make the fight.
